A vehicle ended up on its roof near the Moore/Chatham line on Jesse Phillips Road in High Falls Friday at 6 p.m.
Authorities say the Nissan Maxima was coming around the curve when a deer ran into the road. The driver tried to avoid the deer, but he lost control in the grass, slid into a tree, and flipped the car over.
The driver was unharmed and got out of the overturned vehicle on his own. The vehicle’s windshield was cracked, and you could see where it struck the tree.
Moore County EMS and the NC State Highway Patrol responded to the incident.
