It’s a good day to be a coffee enthusiast: a new drive-through coffee spot may be in the works for Aberdeen. A site plan for a potential future 7 Brew Drive-Thru Coffee location has officially been submitted to the Aberdeen Planning Department.
In a statement to Sandhills Sentinel, a member of the Aberdeen Planning Department said, “Once the review of the plan is approved by the town, 7Brew will be able to move forward in securing their remaining permits and inspections, certifying them to begin operations.”
The old Truist Bank location at N. Sandhills Boulevard and Johnson Street in the Center Park shopping center is rumored to be the future home of the new drive-through coffee franchise.
7 Brew was founded in 2017 in Arkansas and now has grown to 700+ locations across 38 states. According to their website, they serve a menu of 20,000+ possible flavorful drinks across seven categories, including coffees, energy drinks, fizz sodas, teas, lemonades, smoothies, and shakes.
Fans of the franchise have been sharing their excitement on social media. Many Moore County residents are thrilled with the news, saying they will no longer have to drive to Spring Lake for their 7 Brew fix.
At this point in the planned project, an estimated opening date was not provided; however, the construction process could begin sometime in the next 18 months, pending completion of all necessary steps required by the town.
Timeline aside, the plan is that Sandhills residents may soon be able to sample one of the seven original fan-favorite coffees that started it all: Blondie, Sweet & Salty, Cinnamon Roll, Brunette, Banana Bread, Smooth 7, and Cookie Butter.
Additional details, including a construction timeline and opening date, are expected as the project moves through the town’s review process.
