Juvenile allegedly kills neighbor's dog

Police are searching for a juvenile after he allegedly killed his neighbor’s dog, according to Andy Conway, chief deputy with the Moore County Sheriff’s Office. 

Multiple agencies assisted the Moore County Sheriff’s Office on Sunday just after 8 p.m. in the 200 block of Windy Hill Road near Pinebluff.

Windy Hill is off U.S. Highway 1. 

The juvenile fled the scene, and law enforcement set up a perimeter around Woodglen Way, according to radio traffic.

Woodglen Way is off Windy Hill Road. 

Conway said, “A juvenile petition was obtained by deputies.”

What led up to the shooting of the dog is under investigation.
