Highway 73 in Jackson Springs was shut down for several hours Friday afternoon after a two-vehicle crash.
According to North Carolina State Highway Patrol, the driver of a Honda Pilot was traveling on Jackson Springs Road when he ran a stop sign and collided with a box truck traveling south on Highway 73. The box truck, transporting milk, overturned blocking both lanes of Highway 73.
The driver of the Honda Pilot was not injured and was charged with running a stop sign. The driver of the box truck was transported to a hospital for minor injuries.
Responding to the crash were West End Fire Department, Moore County Sheriff’s Department, Moore County EMS, and N.C. State Highway Patrol.
