Deputies arrest West End man for breaking & entering

Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields announced the arrest of one individual following an investigation in the West End area of Moore County.

On Tuesday, December 14, the Moore County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a residence being broken into in the West End area of Moore County. The residence had been forcibly entered and ransacked. Deputies were able to identify and collect physical evidence at the scene which later connected an individual to the crime.

On Tuesday, December 21, sheriff’s investigators arrested James Dupree, age 37, of West End. Dupree was charged with one count of felony breaking or entering, one count of misdemeanor injury to real property, and was confined to the Moore County Detention Center under a $5,000 secured bond pending a first court appearance in Moore County District Court on Thursday, January 6, 2022.
