Cypress Pointe Fire and Rescue and Harnett County EMS responded Saturday night to a single-vehicle rollover crash on Cypress Road over the Moore-Harnett county line.
Authorities report that the vehicle flipped onto its roof, sustained heavy damage, and left debris scattered across the roadway.
According to Cypress Pointe Fire and Rescue Chief Mike Cameron, the driver had exited the vehicle before responders arrived. He told firefighters he was not injured and said a deer ran out in front of him.
The North Carolina Highway Patrol investigated the crash, and the driver was ultimately arrested on the scene. Authorities did not immediately release the charges or the driver’s name.
