Nilesh Bhargav, MD, family practitioner, has joined Central Carolina Community Family Care, located at 2412 Wilkins Drive in Sanford, as of Jan. 19.
Dr. Bhargav joins the practice of Daphne Cates, MD, along with Family Nurse Practitioners Amie Motley, FNP-C, and Baylee Smith, FNP-C.
Dr. Bhargav received his medical degree from the American University of Antigua College of Medicine in Antigua and Barbuda. He completed his residency at the Institute for Family Health – Mid-Hudson Family Medicine, in Kingston, NY, where he also served as Chief Resident. He served as musculoskeletal and sports medicine track resident and received an award for clinical excellence during his residency.
Dr. Bhargav will treat patients of all ages. His areas of specialization include preventive care, hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, musculoskeletal issues, osteoarthritis, and knee and shoulder cortisone injections.
His hobbies include sports of all types, such as cricket, pickleball, table tennis, squash and tennis. In his spare time, he enjoys watching movies and trying new cuisine.
