UPDATE: Black’s Tire & Auto will reopen on Nov. 5.

Black’s Tire & Auto in Southern Pines is closed due to a fire on Monday morning. People noticed smoke coming from the roof around 9:30 a.m. Everyone was able to evacuate safely.

Fire units arrived in under five minutes, hooked to hydrants, pulled hoses, and entered the front of the building.
