Local first responders rescued a person trapped from a car crash in Northern Moore County Monday.
Robbins Fire and Rescue, High Falls Fire and Rescue, Moore County EMS, Moore County Sheriff’s Department, and N.C. State Highway Patrol responded to the two-vehicle accident.
A pickup truck and SUV were involved in the accident that occurred near Highway 24/27 and J. Dowdy Road just before 8 a.m.
A victim was trapped in the SUV after it flipped over. The truck ended up in a wooded area.
“Units arrived on scene to find two vehicle accident with heavy damage with roll over with patient entrapped in vehicle,” said Robbins Fire and Rescue on social media.
The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after emergency crews used hydraulic rescue tools to free the patient from the vehicle.
