Five arrested in Carthage drug bust 

Five Carthage residents were arrested after a search on Wednesday.

Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields said detectives executed a search warrant in the 3400 block of Old River Road in Carthage.

During the search, detectives seized suspected methamphetamine, buprenorphine and naloxone (Suboxone), buprenorphine hydrochloride (Subutex), drug paraphernalia, and marijuana paraphernalia, said Fields in a Friday press release.

Donald English, 41, is facing charges of possession of methamphetamine, maintaining a vehicle/dwelling/place for a controlled substance, simple possession of a Schedule III controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana paraphernalia. His secured bond was set at $15,000.

April Talbert, 39, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, maintaining a vehicle/dwelling/place for a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana paraphernalia. Her secured bond was also set at $15,000.

Tabitha Wilder, 40, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, maintaining a vehicle/dwelling/place for a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was given a $20,000 secured bond.

Johnny Walden, 38, is facing charges of possession of methamphetamine, maintaining a vehicle/dwelling/place for a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was placed on a 48-hour hold under HB813, which came into effect on Oct. 1, 2023.

Allan Ritter Jr., 31, was charged with possession of marijuana paraphernalia. His secured bond was set at $1,000.

All five individuals are scheduled to appear in Moore County district court on Feb. 6.
