Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, a fast-casual restaurant concept, is finishing its construction work at the new shopping center on U.S. 15-501 and Murray Hill Road in Southern Pines.
“Barring any unforeseen delays, Southern Pines is on track to open mid-January,” said the restaurant’s Public Relations Specialist Kim Huynh to Sandhills Sentinel.
The 2,656 square-foot restaurant will seat 80 guests and will have additional seating on the patio. Drive-thru service will also be available. Hours of operation will be 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
“Southern Pines is a great next stop for our family-friendly restaurant,” said Dave Dreiling, franchise owner in a press release in May. “You’ll find that our team members truly enjoy putting in the extra effort to create a comfortable and welcoming environment with fast, friendly service and genuine hospitality. We hope to give guests a place to connect, reminisce and create their own treasured memories.”
Freddy’s is known for its cooked-to-order steakburgers made with lean 100 percent ground beef, all-beef hot dogs, crispy shoestring fries and frozen custard treats made with freshly churned chocolate or vanilla frozen custard.
