A fire on Friday morning destroyed a home outside of Robbins. The home is located in the 7400 block of Highway 705 near Noah Road.
The call came in from multiple people driving by just after 8:30 a.m. The family was inside at the time of the fire but was able to safely evacuate.
There were no injuries to the occupants or firefighters.
It is believed the fire started at the front of the house, and the cause of the fire is under investigation by the Moore County Fire Marshal.
The front of the home suffered heavy fire damage, and the rest of the home suffered heavy smoke and water damage.
Highway 705 was closed for approximately an hour and a half from Noah Road and Hidden Lakes Road.
Red Cross was called in to assist the family.
Responding to the scene were Robbins Fire & Rescue, Highfalls Fire & Rescue, Westmoore Fire & Rescue, Eagle Springs Fire & Rescue, Moore County EMS, Moore County Public Safety, Moore County Sheriff’s Office, and American Red Cross.
