One injured in Pinebluff shooting

Moore County Sheriff’s Department responded to a shooting in Pinebluff on Saturday, June 17.

The shooting happened in the 300 block of Fellowship Way around 12:15 a.m.

Upon arriving, deputies located Lammon Ringgold, 39, with an apparent gunshot wound to the abdomen.

“The investigation revealed that the victim and suspect in this case were known to each other and that this was not a random act of violence,” said Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields in a news advisory.

An arrest warrant was issued for William Bryant Jr., 35, of Hamlet, for assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.

On June 21, sheriff’s investigators arrested Bryant on a charge of felony assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.
