A Southern Pines man was arrested for larceny of a motor vehicle. The alleged crime took place in Aberdeen.
Sheriff Neil Godfrey said in a news release deputies arrested Daquan Joseph Hakeem Vamper, 27, from the 600 block of South Gaines Street, on Saturday and charged him with one count of felony breaking and entering of a motor vehicle, one count of felony larceny of a motor vehicle and one count of felony possession of stolen goods.
Vamper received a $20,000 bond, given an August 14 court date, and is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
