Following an investigation in Robbins, a local man was arrested for stealing cars.
Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields Wednesday announced the arrest of Dillon Stout, 27, of Robbins.
Fields said in a news release the department “received a report from a residence in Robbins, North Carolina of breaking or entering, larceny, and motor vehicle theft.” The report came in on August 29. Two vehicles were recovered after the investigation.
Stout was charged with two counts of felony breaking or entering, two counts of felony larceny after breaking or entering, four counts of felony larceny of a motor vehicle, three counts of felony possession of a stolen motor vehicle, and three counts of felony chop shop activity.
The suspect’s unsecured bond was set at $75,000. He is due in court on October 1 and is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
