A man walked away unharmed after an early morning accident in Southern Pines.
The driver was the only occupant in the Honda Accord that overturned on Morganton Road near Patriot Blvd. Thursday morning. Patriot Blvd. leads into the new Morganton Park North medical complex.
Authorities were dispatched to the single-vehicle accident around 5:45 a.m. According to radio traffic, the caller reported that the driver was out of the vehicle and walking around.
Moore County EMS was cancelled due to no injuries. Southern Pines Police Department is investigating the accident.
Although the cause of the accident is unknown at this time, marks could indicate the driver ran onto the left median and hit a line of bushes, causing the car to overturn.
