Moore County native is committed to community

Bridget Cotton loves helping our community. She is the owner of Angel Hands Spa & Wellness Center in West End.

She is also a council member for Taylortown and, in her spare time, is a board member for Sandhills Cooperation Association (SCA) and helps with Keep Moore County Beautiful (KMCB) organization. A common theme that ties these different ventures is they all help people.

Bridget has been operating Angel Hands Spa & Wellness Center for over 20 years. She is licensed in holistic and therapeutic massage (among others) and offers customized treatment plans and skin care.

What drives her to keep going is a commitment “to make people feel better when they walk out.” According to Bridget, after a good massage, “people walk out feeling revitalized.”

Bridget Cotton discusses her passion for helping her clients at Angel Hands Spa and Wellness Center.

Bridget was elected to the Taylortown Town Council in 2020. She has been a voice for the community to increase transparency in local government. She wants to be a part of revitalizing the town.

Bridget is also a board member at SCA. “SCA seeks to increase prosperity and self-reliance in marginalized communities through new business creation and community organizing.”

Bridget works with KMCB as well. They sponsor and support recycling and strive to get people involved. According to their website, “Our mission is to beautify the county, get involved, make a difference.”

One of her accomplishments, working in conjunction with KMCB, was an anti-litter campaign. Last October, six volunteers picked up 18 bags of trash for a ¾ mile stretch of Main Street. The town is also applying for a micro-grant through the KMCB to provide gloves and safety vests for volunteers.

When asked about what she is passionate about, Bridget said, “I am passionate about helping others be successful and passionate about doing what is right.”

Bridget is a native of Moore County and loves many things about the area. When asked to pick something that stands out, she loves the weather here and dislikes how crazy traffic has become.
