FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital has been recognized by Money as one of the best hospitals for cardiac care in 2024. This prestigious recognition underscores Moore Regional’s commitment to providing exceptional cardiac care to its patients and highlights the health system’s dedication to excellence in health care.
To determine the best hospitals for cardiac care, Money compiled and analyzed more than 125,000 data points. The list of best cardiac care hospitals stands out among all short-term, acute-care hospitals in the country and offers deep expertise based on data that reflects the overall experience of the cardiologists and other heart specialists who work at each hospital.
Additionally, the selection considers the hospital’s affiliation with the American College of Cardiology, its achievement of other awards, designations, and distinctions, and its commitment to price transparency.
Peter Ellman, M.D., FACS, senior cardiovascular and thoracic surgeon at FirstHealth, expressed his pride in Moore Regional being named a top hospital in cardiac care. “We are honored to be recognized by Money as a leader in cardiac care,” said Dr. Ellman. “This recognition reflects our unwavering dedication to providing the highest quality care to our patients. Our team of highly skilled providers and staff work tirelessly to ensure that each patient receives the highest quality heart care.”
William Harris, M.D., FSCAI, interventional cardiologist and medical director of cardiology for FirstHealth Physician Group, echoed Dr. Ellman’s sentiments. “This award is a testament to the expertise and commitment of our entire cardiac care team,” said Dr. Harris. “This recognition demonstrates our dedication to excellence in heart care. We remain committed to advancing cardiac health and delivering the best possible outcomes for our patients.”
