Motorcyclist airlifted after striking van outside Aberdeen

A motorcyclist was airlifted to a trauma center Thursday afternoon after colliding with a delivery van on N.C. 211 outside Aberdeen.

The crash happened just before 12:45 p.m. near Premier Technology when a white delivery van attempted a left turn. The van’s driver told Sandhills Sentinel she was in a line of “about six cars” traveling toward Aberdeen in a no-passing zone. She recounted that a motorcyclist on a Suzuki allegedly attempted to pass the line of vehicles and struck the side of her van as she turned.
