A multi-agency operation resulted in several citations and arrests, according to a statement by Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields.
The Moore County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by the sheriff’s departments with Randolph and Montgomery counties and State Highway Patrol in three checkpoints and a saturation patrol in northern Moore County on Saturday night.
Fields said five drivers were cited for no operator license, two citations for expired registration, one citation for no registration plate, one citation for open container of alcohol, one citation for stop sign violation, and three criminal summonses served.
Moore County narcotics detectives arrested Nicole Sink, 32, of Robbins, as a result of the operation. Sink was charged with one count of felony possession of methamphetamine, maintaining a vehicle to keep controlled substances, misdemeanor possession of schedule III controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Sink was taken to the Moore County Magistrates Office where she was given a $5,000 secured bond.
Also, the State Highway Patrol arrested Michael Mabe for driving while impaired at the checkpoint conducted at Highway 705 and Union Grove Church Road. Mabe was taken to the Moore County Magistrates Office where he was given a custody release.
