A Pinebluff man was jailed under a $250,000 secured bond and is facing 10 counts of child exploitation charges following an investigation by the Moore County Sheriff’s Office.
On June 26, investigators with the Moore County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a residence in the 200 block of E. Charles Avenue in Pinebluff. The warrant was obtained as part of an investigation initiated by cyber tips received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
During the execution of the search warrant, a resident of the home was arrested in connection with the investigation. Dylan Clifton, age 31, was charged with five counts of felony second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and five counts of felony third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
Clifton is due in court on July 10. This investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges may be forthcoming.
“The Moore County Sheriff’s Office remains an active participant in the North Carolina Internet Crimes Against Children (NCICAC) Task Force,” said Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields in a media release. “This task force works tirelessly to protect children from online exploitation and abuse.”
