Ladies and gentlemen, mark your calendars as “Addams Family The Musical” makes an appearance in Robbins. Just a few weekends away, on March 15-17, Kimberly Fielder-Jones, the theatre director, announced their annual spring musical would be one to remember.
“I have never had a cast that resembled characters so much,” said Kimberly about her 11th musical at North Moore High School. “I could not ask for a better school and students to work with. I constantly grow with each group of students.”
As a result, these musicals have brought great joy to Robbins over the years, bringing a sense of unity and fun to the town. Residents say, “We look forward to the exciting announcement of each spring musical.”
This year’s musical comedy will feature talented performers and wonderful vocals people of all ages will enjoy.
Sandhills Sentinel spoke with some of the cast members, one of whom the show would not be the same without his stage managing skills.
Aaron Garner, going into his third year of stage managing, said, “The most rewarding experience of this whole process is watching people grow into their characters. I’ve learned so much, and seeing the finished product of a show is truly amazing.”
Senior cast member Yahir Betancourt is starring in his first major musical lead as Gomez. “This character has truly allowed me to come out of my shell. This is my favorite musical I have been cast in,” said Yahir.
Lydia Nelson, a junior at North Moore, is starring as the iconic Wednesday. “This is my first lead in a musical and is such a fun character to play, and the best part of this process was growing together as a cast and truly embracing each other and our characters,” said Lydia.
North Moore Theatre shows the essence of hard work and determination to deliver a delightful experience for everyone. The hard work and dedication to acting and building sets from scratch capture their teamwork.
Opening night is Friday, March 15, at 7 p.m. You can also catch a performance on March 16 at 7 p.m.; the last show will be on March 17 at 3 p.m.
