Carey H. Caudell, Jr. left his earthly life for his heavenly home early on November 21, 2017 at First Health Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst with his wife Linda by his side.
Carey was born May 30, 1943 in Raleigh, NC to Carey H. Caudell, Sr. and Marguerite Evelyn McQuage Caudell. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Daniel M. Caudell. Carey is survived by his wife Linda, his son Carey H. Caudell, III and wife Fadia and his granddaughter Athena Caudell.
Carey’s childhood was spent in the small town of Wallace, NC, graduating from Wallace-Rose Hill High School with the class of 1961. Carey attended both
UNC Chapel Hill and UNC Wilmington when it was Wilmington College. He served honorably in the US Air Force. His career spanned years as a building developer and contractor and with H.U.D. and the Farmers Home Administration. He was also a self-employed appraiser and an H.U.D. inspector. Carey retired to Pinehurst, NC and enjoyed being a part of the Village of Pinehurst.
Carey asked that there be no services or visitation at this time. He will have a private service and burial at a later date.
