Mr. Alphonso Hargrove “Phonso”, 78, of the Eastwood Community, West End, NC, died Friday, October 21, 2022, at his home. He was the son of the late James and Theola Hargrove.

Mr. Hargrove was a horseman, coachman, and a trainer, who was well known in the equestrian communities.

Hargrove of Carthage, NC, Jean Hargrove Square of Los Angeles, CA, Harvey Hargrove (Cozette) of Upper Marlboro, MD, Faye Hargrove- Horn of the Eastwood Community, West End, NC, Morris Hargrove of Rochester, NY, and Charlene Hollingsworth (Victor) of Raeford, NC; three grandchildren; and a host of other relatives.
