Betty Doris Barber Dunlap age 87, passed away Sunday August 14 2022.
Betty was a native of Moore County, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Losie Barber of Robbins. She was a retired supervisor with Clayson Knitting Company where she worked for 32 years. Betty was preceded in death by her husband: Jonah Clegg (J C) Dunlap, sister: Faye Mabe, brothers: Eugene Barber, Arthur Barber and Mack Barber.
She is survived by her three children: Sons: Kenny Dunlap (wife,Sharon), Steve Dunlap ( fiancé, Angie), and daughter Lynn Lewis, all of Seagrove; Sister: Judy Oldham of Bear Creek: Brother Ted Barber(wife, Joyce) of Star; 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Betty was a devoted Christian and loved spending time with her family. She was a faithful member of Browns Chapel Christian Church. Betty will be remembered for her warm smile and generous spirit. She enjoyed being outdoors gardening; caring for her yard and flowers brought her great joy.
Funeral service will be 11 AM, Thursday, August 18, 2022 at Browns Chapel Christian Church , with Pastor Shaun Garner and Reverend James Brewer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM, Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at Kennedy Funeral Home and at other times and the home.
