Charles F. Faas, 86, of Seven Lakes, passed away at home on Tuesday, May 22nd.

A funeral service will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 3253 Niagara Carthage Rd., Whispering Pines on June 9, 2018 at 11 AM.

Born in Springfield, N.Y. on September 5, 1931, he was the son of the late Charles and Katherine (Lackmann) Faas. Charles was raised on Long Island, N.Y. After graduating from high school, he served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Following an Honorable Discharge, Charles returned to N.Y., met and married Carole Sawtelle in 1958. They would move to Burnt Hills, N.Y. in the mid 1970s where he was an Owner/Operator of a local Dairy Queen. Charles and Carole retired and moved to Seven Lakes in 2000. For 10 years, he owned a concession stand at Seven Lakes Country Club. Charles and Carole were founding members of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, originally in the village of Pinehurst and now in Whispering Pines.

Charles was the husband of Carole Dorothy Faas. He was the father of Charles K. Faas, wife Joann of San Jose, and Steven A. Faas, wife Mary, of Pittsfield, MA. He was the brother of Arleene Perry of Seven Lakes and the late Ruth Driggers. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren: David, Rachel, Matthew, Bryan, Ashley, Meghan and Brendan.
