Connie Barber Richardson, 87, daughter of the late Martin and Rosa Barber passed away Thursday, April 11, 2019, at The Greens at Pinehurst, surrounded by her family.
Connie was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, shopping and family beach trips. Connie was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Samuel J. Richardson, Jr. and brothers: Ray, William, Hard, Hubert, Huey Barber; sisters: Ola Evans, Etta Mae Taylor, Lovedy Short.
Connie is survived by daughters: Dianne Edwards and husband Robert, Wanda Allred, Samara Hayes and husband Harold; 7 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; brother-in-law: Robert Richardson and wife Lois; sister-in-law: Lorraine Richardson.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 PM, Sunday, April 14, 2019 at Fry & Prickett Funeral Home and at other times at her home.
Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, April, 15, 2019 at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, where she was a member, with the Reverend William Saunders officiating.
