Obituary for Don Carl Mullins of Cameron

Don Carl Mullins, 98, of Cameron, passed away on Friday, October 24, 2025, at FirstHealth Hospice House, surrounded by his family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Cypress Springs Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Full Military Honors. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall.

Don was born in West Virginia on February 15, 1927 to the late Clarence Lovell Mullins and Lena Hammond Mullins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Mullins, daughters, Deborah Petit, Donna Mullins, sister, Betty, Barbara, Onie, brothers, Charles, Chipper.

He is survived by his children, Jack Palm (Anita) of Vermont, Karen Ortiz of Florida, Yvette Sandrock (Don) of Virginia, Tina Mullins Wilkinson of Cameron; grandchildren, Tina, Regina, Torrey, Tanya, Tiana, Garrett, Briana, Micaela; great-grandchildren, Riley, Amanda, Dylan, Brandon, Kathryn, Raihna, Jack, Theo, Luna, Jasper, Estella; great-great-grandchildren, Westley, Asher, Rowena, Raelyn and many nieces and nephews.

Don proudly served his country in the Army Air Corp during WWII and went on to serve in the U.S. Air Force. Some things he loved were carpentry, mechanics, ensuring children had what they needed by making donations to the needy. He was an elder in Cypress Springs Presbyterian Church where he was a dedicated member. He always remembers the brave veterans by placing flags on their graves when needed.
