Gary William Crabb, age 82, of Pinehurst, NC, passed away at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital on April 15, 2026. Gary was born in Detroit, MI, to Leslie George Crabb and Mildred Froelich Crabb.
He found peace on the golf course, where he enjoyed the rhythm of the game and the camaraderie it brought. Gary also had a deep appreciation for travel, always ready to explore new places or revisit familiar favorites. The road, in many ways, was where he felt most at home—especially when it involved cars, one of his greatest passions. Gary had a special talent and love for working on cars. He took pride in detailing cars, bringing out their shine.
At home, he enjoyed spending time watching the History Channel and the Music Channel, finding both entertainment and inspiration in stories of the past and the sounds he loved.
Gary is survived by his; wife, Barbara Crabb; children, Gary William Crabb II (Laura) and Michelle Binz; step-daughter, Holly Rennie; grandchildren, Landon Crabb, Caitlin Roberts, Evan Roberts, Justin Binz, Charles Binz, Allison Binz and Dair Rennie and Khiel Rennie; and brother, Tim Crabb (Kathy). Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Mildred Crabb; first wife, Nancy Marie Crabb, and brother, Leslie Crabb.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Boles Funeral Home, Southern Pines. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Archie Stevens officiating. Burial will take place at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
