James Edward Polston, 70, of Seven Lakes passed away Monday March 19, 2018 at his residence.
He was born November 3, 1947 in McColl, South Carolina. James was preceded in death by his mother Doris Jones Polston, a sister Juanita Fitzjohn, a brother Donald Polston, a sister in law Cynthia Polston, and two brothers in law Sidney Chellis and Charles Arnette.
James moved to North Carolina when he was a child and was raised in Aberdeen, NC. He worked as a technician in the communications industry. James enjoyed the outdoors and loved fishing, hunting, and camping. He also loved to collect pottery and attend classic car shows with his wife Jackie.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years Jackie Polston; two daughters Connie Flowers and husband Paul and Cindy McDuffie and husband Jimmy; two sisters Sylvia Chellis and Betty Arnette; four brothers Richard Polston, Bill Polston (Anna), Eugene Polston, and Melvin Fitzjohn (Gladys); and six grandchildren Ethan, Bailey, Christa, Maggie, Hannah, and Sarah.
The family will receive friends from 2:30PM-4PM on Thursday March 22 in the fellowship hall at Beulah Hill Baptist Church in West End, NC. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 4PM in the Beulah Hill Baptist Church sanctuary.
