Joyce Ann Brooks, 81 years young, went home to her Lord on Saturday March 30th 2019 at FirstHealth Hospice House, in Pinehurst, with her family by her side. She was a Moore County native from Aberdeen NC.

Her granddaughter Stephanie Riddle wrote “Jesus and her family was the pivotal essence of her life. She was proud and honored to be a loving mother, grandmother and devoted friend to many. She has been a major presence in the lives of her children and grandchildren. She had the most beautiful smile that could light up your soul. Her heart was so pure and forgiving. Her true purpose in life was to help others and she would always say “I Love Everybody”. She was a woman who never cared much about herself but always cared for everyone else in their time of need. She was a dedicated volunteer at Caring Hearts for Kids of Moore and loved all of the volunteers there as family. She enjoyed her friends at Providence Place of Aberdeen and spent many evenings listening to gospel music and putting puzzles together. If you were lucky enough to be present when she gazed into her children’s and grandchildren’s faces, the pure joy radiating from her would blind you. This gentle, loving, caring and wonderful woman has left a permanent mark etched on our hearts and will be tremendously missed by all of us. She taught us all everything in life except how to live without her. She was our hero.”
