Obituary for Julian M. Cameron

Julian M. “Mac” Cameron passed away peacefully at his home on December 22, 2023.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Baughn Cameron; children, Thomas H. Cameron (Pam) and Martha C. Owen (Johnny); grandsons, Bryce C. Owen and Austin D. Cameron; his brother, Thomas E. “Tom” Cameron; sister, Lucille C. Cameron; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was predeceased by his parents, Alexander H. and Thelma Dunlap Cameron; brother, Warren H. “Jim” Cameron, and sister, Clara Lee Cameron Privott.

Mac was a lifelong member of White Hill Presbyterian Church, where he served as Deacon, Elder, Treasurer and other positions.  He retired from Moore County Schools as an Electrical Foreman and was a self-employed electrical contractor.

His hobbies included fishing, vegetable gardening, reading, and attending sporting events and musical performances of his grandsons.  He was a member of the Carthage Masonic Lodge #181, A.F. & A.M., and Chapter #154 of The Order of the Eastern Star.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at White Hill Presbyterian Church.  Visitation will be at the church fellowship hall following the graveside services at the church cemetery.
