Larry Joe Gorrell, husband of 30 years to Donna, beloved father to Glenn and Brian, grandfather of Olivia, Sophia, and Bianca, close friend to Michele, and brother to Karen, passed away on Saturday, June 3rd, in Raleigh, NC at the age of 75, following a short illness.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna.
Larry was born in Ft. Wayne, IN., and lived in Chicago and San Francisco, retiring with Donna to a beautiful community in Pinehurst where they soon found deep and lasting friendships. During his career as a partner of an international accounting and consulting firm, he was a member of the Dean’s Advisory Board at the San Francisco State University School of Business, Dean’s Advisory Board of Indiana University Kelley School of Business, served as a board member of the San Francisco Symphony, the San Francisco Opera, SF Works, the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce, and the Bay Area Council.
