Leonard Emil Nagel Jr., 79, of Whispering Pines, NC, passed away Monday, September 4, 2023 at his residence.
He was born May 4, 1944 in Williamston, NC to the late Leonard Emil Nagel, Sr., and the late Marjorie Lilley Nagel.
Leonard was an actor, stage manager and teacher. Most of his working career was spent in the world of theater in both New York City and Chicago. He earned a master’s degree from the University of Texas – Austin and earned a teaching degree from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill. He lived most of his later life in his parent’s home in Whispering Pines, where he was active in the community until experiencing declining health.
Leonard is survived by his brother Paul Nagel and his wife Iris Guerra; one aunt, one uncle, and various cousins in the North Carolina, Virginia and Iowa areas.
