Loren F. Swearingen,81, of Seven Lakes, N.C. passed away at home on October 21, 2018.

Mr. Swearingen was preceded in death by his grandparents William (Florence) Harmon, Bloomington, IL, parents, Wesley (Hilda) Swearingen, Oak Lawn, IL. Brothers Gary (Diane) Swearingen, Mokena, IL, and Wayne Swearingen, Tiskilwa, IL, two pets Gigi and Alfie.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years Judith, daughter Tracy (William) Radford, Halifax, NS, Canada, son Brad (Susan) Swearingen, Wake Forest, NC, grandsons John Radford, Crystal Lake, IL, David (Licia) Radford, Spring Hill, TN, Dan Radford, Chapel Hill, NC, Alex (Jen) Swearingen, Wake Forest, NC, Josh (Kendall) Swearingen, Raleigh, NC, Sam Radford, Halifax, NS, Canada, Joe Radford, Nashville,TN, granddaughter, Jessica Radford, Tucson, AZ. Great-grandsons, Liam and Bennett Swearingen, Wake Forest, NC and Simon Radford, Spring Hill, TN.

Mr. Swearingen graduated from Bloomington High School, Bloomington, IL in 1955 and attended Illinois State Normal University, Normal, IL.

Mr. Swearingen was employed for 41 years in sales and sales management positions by Fortune 500 companies Clark Equipment Co., Areoquip Corporation, and Dana Corporation. 

Mr. Swearingen and his wife Judith retired to Seven Lakes, NC in 2001 where he became active on the boards of the West End United Methodist Church, Kiwanis Club of Seven Lakes and the Seven Lakes Land Owners Association. 

Mr. Swearingen’s hobbies were traveling with his wife Judith, golf, and boating.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of life service will be held at West End United Methodist Church on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at 2:00PM.
