Lorena Robinson Brown, 93, passed away Monday, June 22, 2020 at FirstHealth Hospice House, Pinehurst, NC, after a period of declining health.
Graveside services will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, June 25, 2020 at Pine Rest Cemetery, with Pastor Mamie Alley and Pastor Vic Hill officiating. Due to COVID no formal visitation is planned. The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter, Dougie Williams.
Lorena was a graduate of Elise High School. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Lorena was a homemaker who cared faithfully for her home and family. As a member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church she was a Sunday School teacher, participated in the Ladies Circle and served on several boards and committees. Lorena enjoyed family trips to the beach and mountains, reading Westerns, completing crossword and word search puzzles. Family was always important to her and she loved all the times spent with family. She was a daughter of the late Lewis L. Robinson and Mary Beulah Summey Robinson and was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas and daughter, Candy; siblings: Roy Robinson, Marvin Robinson, Louise Garner and Dorothy Purvis.
Lorena is survived by daughters: Dougie Williams and husband Darrel, Crystal Marley and husband Don; granddaughters: MacKenzie Williams, Olivia Gray; great grandson: Alan; brother: Charles “Buddy” Robinson; many nieces, nephews and friends.
