Marie Monahan, 96, of Pinehurst, NC, passed peacefully on Friday February 4th at the Coventry of Southern Pines.
Born Marie Elizabeth Patnaude “MEP”, as she was known by her many friends, was born on September 25th, 1925 in Bayonne New Jersey. She was the daughter of the late Henry and Marie Patnaude.
Their love of golf brought her and her husband Joe to North Carolina in 1985.
Marie is preceded in death by her first husband Harry Heimrich. Marie is also preceded by a daughter, Nancy, a son-in-law, Robbie Genovese, and husband Joseph Monahan.
Marie is survived in passing by her daughter Maryann (Nicholas) Albano, son Peter (Barbara) Heimrich, son John (Jodi) Heimrich, daughter Susan (late Robbie) Genovese, along with ten grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be conducted 11:00 AM Friday, February 25, 2022 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Committal Services will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
