Murdis Rae ONeal, born May 21 1935, left us peacefully on September 2, 2020 at 9:55 p.m. at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.
During her life, she was an extravagant mother, grandmother, sister, and loving supportive person. She would feed the entire neighborhood, and her specialty items such as sauerkraut, chow chow, and amazing banana nut bread were requested and desired near and far. Murdis was a devoted Jehovah’s Witness and spent the better part of her life serving her community and preaching the truth. She was also an amazing singer and talented storyteller.
She is survived by her children John Drossart, Trina Jackson and Curtis Locklear and proceeded in death by David Groskoft, Shawn Drossart, and Bonnie Drossart, as well as her several grandchildren, and she will be eternally missed.
