Richard Henry Faulk was born December 23, 1941 and departed this life on August 28, 2021.

A memorial service will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Synagogue of Christ Church in Carthage. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

He is preceded in death by his wife Annie Helen McMillan Faulk, his mother Laura Jane Faulk, father Alonzo “Otis” McCrimmon, and 2 sisters Hattie Faulk Cameron and Louis Bethelene Ford.

Richard graduated from Pickney High School in Carthage, NC.  After high school, Richard served in the US Army during the time of the Vietnam War. After Richard completed his time in service, he worked a variety of jobs including Sandhills Community Action Program, logging and driving trucks. Richard gave his life to Christ in 2004 and was ordained as a deacon at Synagogue of Christ under Pastor Louise Kiniel. He served faithfully until his health began to decline.

He leaves to mourn two daughters Theresa Faulk of the home, Rolanda (Jarrett) Jones of Carthage. Four granddaughters Brittany, Jazmine, Jayda and Shakira, and a great grandson Chance. He also leaves to mourn a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and his best friend Willie Henderson.

The family wants you to remember that Richard was a man that lived his life not with many words, but with actions. He showed the people in his life that he loved them. He would give you the shirt off his back and cook you a meal, even give you his last two dollars. As we remember the life that he lived, remember that love isn’t love until it’s given away.
