Robert Henry Woolf, Sr. (Bob), 84 of Woodlake in Vass, NC passed away peacefully at his home in Woodlake on November 11, 2019 with family by his side.
Bob was born in Watertown, New York on December 31, 1934 to the late Louis and Daisy Woolf. A proud veteran, Bob served in the US Navy. He spent his entire working career at Cives Steel Company. A loving husband, devoted father and grandfather, and successful businessman, he will be remembered for his generosity and his love of family.
He is survived by sons Bob Woolf (Mimi) of Rhode Island, Bill Woolf (Harriet) of Georgia, and daughter Deb Morgan (Ben) of Virginia; and grandchildren Buddy Woolf of Florida, Matthew Diefes of Virginia, Madeleine Woolf of Rhode Island, Josie Diefes of Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Leslie Woolf, Donald Woolf, and his sister, Nancy Youngs.
A celebration of life will be scheduled in the future.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Friends of the Vass Area Library, P O Box 655, Vass NC or the charity of one’s choice.
The family has entrusted services to Cox Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Vass.
