Robert James Albrecht, 78, of Southern Pines, passed away surrounded by his family and more love than he could ever hope to imagine.
He was born on December 4, 1939 in Nassau County, New York to the late Ewald and Helen Albrecht. Robert was an Aerospace Engineer working for Northrop Grumman Corporation before retiring. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corp.
His family will always cherish and remember his smile that would light up any room. He was their favorite person, their hero and their hearts are irretrievably broken.
He leaves behind his wife of 53 years, Lorraine; two children, Bobby Albrecht and his wife, Rita and Linda Serio and her husband, Greg; also survived by four granddaughters, Christina, Sarah, Katharine and Caroline.
A memorial mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 10:00AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pinehurst.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
Services are entrusted to Boles Funeral Home of Southern Pines.
