Ronald Paul Lloyd, 54, of Pinehurst, NC passed away at his home on Sunday, October 13th.

Born in Austin, TX. September 3, 1965, he was the son of Anne (Rowe) Lloyd and the late Dwain Lloyd.  Ron was raised in Kansas City, MO. After his high school graduation, he worked in the printing industry with Henry Wurst. During his time in Kansas City, he began playing croquet. He had a natural born talent and soon found himself playing professionally and ranked among the very best. His passion for the game led him to Pinehurst, NC as the Director of Lawn Sports at the Pinehurst Resort.  He also enjoyed playing Texas Hold ’em with his Wednesday night Poker group.

Ron is survived by his mother, Anne Lloyd of Kansas City, MO.  His two brothers, Gary Lloyd of Denver, CO., Ed Lloyd, wife Michelle, of Flower Mound, TX. and his sister Marina Hadley of Kansas City, MO.  He was the uncle to Michael and Daniel Harper, Carter, Ryan and Dalton Lloyd. Ron was also survived by aunts, uncles, great nieces, great nephews and a tremendous circle of friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 17th, from 5pm to 8pm at Boles Funeral Home Southern Pines located at 425 W. Pennsylvania Ave, Southern Pines, NC 28387.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the charity of your choice in remembrance of Ron.
