Teisuolis “Cas” Casimir Mikulskis, 79 of Southern Pines, passed away at his home on May 2, 2018.

Born on October 20, 1938 in Lithuania to the late Stasys and Brone Mikulskis.

He was a graduate of the University of Illinois, School of Physics. He retired from General Motors, Allison’s division, in Indianapolis, Indiana and one of his many accomplishments was being the lead transmissions engineer of the Abrams M1Tank. Throughout his career he helped in the design of over 200 patents. After leaving General Motors he moved to Southern Pines and continued his career for 10 more years at Rockwell Company before retiring. He was very active and enjoyed many forms of Karate and earned several degrees of black belts, including a 4th degree dan.

He will be remembered as a gentle man that loved his family, friends and his pets.

He is survived by his wife, Maureen Mikulskis; five children, Stan Mikulskis, Marija Cavana (Robert), Al Mikulskis (Jessica), Liz Mikulskis and Brad Mikulskis (Carolyn); brother, Joseph Mikulskis of Chicago, IL; brother-in-law, Thomas Rosko; sister-in-law, Marie Mikulskis; six grandchildren, Elise, Abbie, Cas, McKinley, Ellie and Rick; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A Private Graveside Service will be held for the family.
