Virginia Lee Bandy (Jennie) was the daughter of the late James Adam and Lula Jane Bandy. She was born on July 24, 1954 in Pinehurst, NC. God called her home on January 30, 2021.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 6 at 12pm in the chapel of Pugh & Smith Funeral Home.
She was preceded in death by her parents James and Lula Jane Bandy, and sister Annie Upchurch.
She leaves to cherish her memories a daughter Jennifer Bandy of the home. Son-in-law Charles Smith of Carthage, NC. Grandchildren: John Ray Jr. (Angel) of Raeford, NC, Ciera Ray (Adam Marshall) of Greensboro, NC, Devonta Bandy of Snow Hill, NC and Chaniya Smith of the home. Two great granddaughters: Za’Niya Ray of the home and Zakyah Ray (minor worm), Greensboro, NC.
Jennie also leaves loving memories to three brothers William Bandy (Annette) of Philadelphia, PA, James a. Bandy, JR. of Sanford, NC and George D. Bandy of Sanford, NC. Two sisters Betty Gilmore of Sanford, NC and Velma Bandy of Southern Pines, NC. Brother-in-law James Upchurch, Hempstead, NY. One uncle John D. McNeill (Pearl) of Orangeburg, SC and one aunt Jesse Pearl McNeill of Southern Pines, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
