Virginia “Jenny” Cockman Nall, age 73, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, April 5, 2018, lovingly surrounded by her family.

A funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm on Sunday, April 8, 2018 at Glendon Independent Christian Church in Glendon.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Fry & Prickett Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 pm and at other times at the home.

Virginia was born on February 22, 1945 to the late Roland Harrison Cockman & Margaret Scott Cockman.  She was retired from Sandhills Center for Mental Health & worked previously at Perdue Farms in Robbins, NC, Robbins Oil Company in Robbins, NC & Carolina Soap & Candle Company in Southern Pines, NC.  She enjoyed reading, music, gardening, canning & freezing fruits & vegetables, and cooking for her family.  She was a wonderful, devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by a brother, Darrell Cockman.  She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Stephen Phillips Nall; one daughter, Judy Nall Ritter (Tommy) of Troy, NC; two grandchildren, Matthew Parker (Kali) of Jackson Springs, NC & Nathan Ritter of Troy, NC; three step-grandchildren, Timothy Ritter of Cameron, Dustin Ritter of  West End, Ashley Ritter of Spring Lake; three great-grandchildren, Kara Parker & Kaitlyn Parker of Asheboro & Samuel Parker of Jackson Springs; four step great-grandchildren, Jordan Ritter & Virginia Ritter of Spring Lake, Gemma Brown of Jackson Springs, Isabella Ritter of West End; one sister, Etheline Hussey of Star; three brothers, Kenny Cockman of Browns Summit, Ronald Cockman of Robbins, Stanley Cockman (Ginger) of Robbins; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family & church family.
