Robert L. Tracy, 71, of Pinehurst and formerly Bangor, ME, passed away Friday March 2nd after a brief illness.
A celebration of Robert’s life will be held at a later date.
Born in Bangor, ME on August 3rd, 1946, he was the son of the late Earl A. and Joyce D. (Lyons) Tracy, Sr. Robert was a graduate of Bangor High School, class of 1964. He graduated from Vermont Technical College before serving his country in the U.S. Air Force. Robert returned to Bangor after his honorable discharge and was employed with the Maine Air National Guard until his retirement in 1997. He would continue to work part time jobs until full retirement in 2008.
Robert is survived by his wife of 51 years, Carolyn (Grant) Tracy. He was the father of Michael Tracy, wife Leigh Anne, of Hope Mills, N.C. and Dennis Tracy, wife Tamson, of Leland, N.C. He is also survived by the pride and joy of his life, his grandson, Jordan Tracy of Indian Trail, N.C. He was the brother of Roger Tracy wife Sylvalyn, Earl Tracy wife Linda and sister Donna.
