A man and a woman from Carthage were arrested and placed at the Moore County Detention Center under $750,000 bonds.
Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields announced the arrests of Wanda Michelle Hill, 44, and Rodrigo Amando Aviles, 39.
“On April 23, 2022, Deputies with the Moore County Sheriff’s Office, along with the State Bureau of Investigation, conducted a drug investigation in the 100 block of Tom Road in Eagle Springs,” said Fields.
Law enforcement confiscated 946 grams of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
The suspects were each charged with traffick in methamphetamine by possession, traffick in methamphetamine by transport, conspire to traffic methamphetamine by possession, conspire to traffic in methamphetamine by transport, possession of methamphetamine, maintaining a vehicle/dwelling place for controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Both suspects are due in court on May 19 and are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
