Moore County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a Pinebluff man Wednesday on several charges including kidnapping, according to a news release from the sheriff’s department.

The department received a report September 25 of a female being assaulted with a gun pointed at her in Eagles Springs.

After an investigation, deputies arrested Sirilo Candido Estrada, 31, a week later.

Estrada was charged with one count of second degree kidnapping, one count of assault by strangulation, one count of assault on a female, one count of assault by pointing a gun, one count of possession of a firearm by convicted felon, and one count of felony purchase a firearm in violation of a domestic violence order.

“The crime was not a random act of violence, and the victim knew her attacker,” said the news release.

Estrada was placed under a $500,000 secured bond, has an October 9 court date, and is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
