Pinecrest standout Caroline Bradford commits to Lady Flyers

Sandhills Community College volleyball signee Caroline Bradford earned all-conference honors in her final two seasons at Pinecrest High School, helping her team compile a three-year overall record of 63-9, including a 38-0 mark in the Sandhills Athletic Conference.

A contributor in all phases of the game for the Patriots, the 5-foot-10 outside hitter was among the leaders in the East Region with 101 service aces and an aces percentage of 25.4.  She was second on the team in serve receptions, third in digs and fourth in kills.

A Sandhills Promise Student, the daughter of Justin and Katie Bradford plans to play indoor and beach volleyball for the Flyers while pursuing an Associate in Science degree.

Bradford has been playing volleyball for the past six years.  She played for the AC Sandhills club team and also served as a volunteer coach.  She is currently a member of the Carolina Advantage Volleyball Club.

Asked why she chose Sandhills, Bradford indicated she wanted to continue playing volleyball, learn how to play beach volleyball and meet new people.  She likes the coaching staff and family feel of the program.

Other awards Bradford has received include: 2022 AAU Nationals Academic All-American, American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Best and Brightest List First Team and AVCA Phenom Watchlist.

“We are so excited to have Caroline joining our Flyer Family,” Flyers Coach Alicia Riggan said.  “She is going to be a great asset to our program, not just on the front, but the back row as well.”
