After the robbery, police could be seen collecting evidence inside the store while employees were standing outside behind the crime scene tape.

This is the second jewelry store robbery Sandhills Sentinel has reported in the last three months.

A Fayetteville man was arrested for allegedly robbing Kay Jewelers in Southern Pines Village Shopping Plaza on Brucewood Road in April. Police said he entered the store pointing a pistol at the employees while ordering them to fill a bag with the jewelry and then fled the store. Five days later the man was arrested in New Jersey.
